It's been a while since I've had a weird dream. I've had trouble remembering them. But I remembered this one for some reason.
Recently I got the Adobe CS4 Production Premium, complete with Premiere, After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, and many others. This has thrown me into a filmmaking frenzy. I haven't made any real full length feature films yet (I'll let you know when I do) but I'm beginning to get all of these great ideas for them. It's as if having the tools to create has inspired creation.
Anyway, last night I had this dream...
I had a dream that I came up with some genius idea for a movie, and that some famous producer was considering funding it. Naturally, I was flattered that any big name producer would even consider producing a film by an inexperienced director like myself.
It turns out that this producer was the one and only J.J. Abrams. Abrams is my favorite filmmaker of all time. I contacted him, even though every part of me believed he wouldn't want to deal with me. I thought I would do it just so I could say I did. You can imagine my shock when I got a phone call saying he was coming over to my house to talk with me about my idea!
So he shows up at my house, and as I open the door, I see Mr. Thompson, a teacher of mine, staring right back at me.
MR. THOMPSON WAS J.J. ABRAMS! I asked him why he never told me this secret, and he said it was because he never thought it was relevant. This made things even better because he knows me and would undoubtedly want to produce my film.
Then I woke up.

Night of '10 Jan 2 - Driving and School
Last night I had this dream...
It started out with me deciding I was going to drive to somewhere north of Phoenix. I think it was Flagstaff. So I got in my car and began driving. Dream driving for me was never really good. I always seem to go 150 miles per hour, and swerve in and out of traffic, even the oncoming traffic.
But I decided it was time to stop. I don't remember why. I think there might have been something wrong with my car. Anyway, I ran into someone named "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." I've only read about the show briefly on tvtropes, so I have no idea if Buffy is the main character, or what she looks like. But she was there.
Anyway, Flagstaff was off the list...
Then there was this weird dream transition, where it's foggy and you're not sure what happened, but there was some huge shift in continuity.
But suddenly, I was at school, the first day of the second semester. And my physics class was canceled. I'm all for physics, but I have a lot of friends in that class, and only that class. So I was distraught, naturally. We were going to go to Six Flags this semester, too!
Why was the class canceled? The teacher was fired. Actually, all of the teachers were fired. The superintendent didn't really like the way the teachers were teaching. So, she called together all of the students to a big assembly, and taught us herself, schoolhouse style. Most of it was stuff I already knew, so me and my friends ditched.
Then I woke up.

Night of '09 Dec 30 - Airport
Last night I had this dream...
Basically, I was scheduled to fly out to New York City all by myself. I've never been good with airports; usually the other people I'm traveling with take care of everything such as boarding passes and baggage checking. So, naturally, I was pretty horrified to learn that I would have to be traveling by myself, across the country no less.
So it's 11:00 am (I was much more conscious of time in this dream; I must have checked my watch a dozen times) so I left to the airport. I got to the airport after an hour of traveling. I already had my boarding pass printed out, but it was in my luggage. For some reason, I had left my luggage at my house.
So, I called up my family and asked them if they could drive my luggage to the house. They didn't have it. So I thought of everyone I could think of.
Now I was in crisis mode. I decided I to figure out the time my flight would begin boarding so I would have an idea of the time frame I was constrained to. Unfortunately that information was on my boarding pass. So, I went to one of the customer service desks and asked "When does the flight to New York begin boarding?" I quickly realized that was an incredibly ambiguous statement.
Finally, I decided it was time to drive down to my house and get my luggage. The people I had called were no help, so it was time to look for it myself.
I found it at my aunt's house.
However, suddenly, I found I had another crisis: what warm things should I pack? Just a jacket? No, it was January; I'd need more than that. What about a jacket and some thermals? Yeah, that worked last time.
Then I woke up.
